fa fu le... =(

sad... today went to ah zong's bday party. ppl say i fa fu already... even including hao han.. so sad... hahha.. ok lah i dun mind myself fat... hahaha.. quite a xin fu de feeling sometimes. oopps. i mean tat can eat and dun care. hahha..okok crap shall continue the happenings of the week.

Tuesday
finally went swimming after so long of dormant life. haha.. onli swam like 15 laps then died already.. was at bedok pool. brings back fond memories of swimming lessons in TJ man. then met sherlene and carol to buy travel insurance for our china trip from NTUC Income. ok lah quite cheap $31. went to eat KFC. sherlene haven recover yet but voice sounded better not so hoarse but she was still talking a lot. hahha.. carol had to go give tuition so sherlene and me headed to marina square to watch movie then meet up with carol and liyu again in the evening for steamboat buffet. we watched taking lives, starring ethan hawke and angelina jolie. oklah not too bad. got a quite a good twist. when sherlene asked me to watch i totally slammed it but well it turned out to be pretty good. anyway while we were watching movie the nicholl highway thingy happened and nothing happened in marina square. dropped by suntec mac then heard the happening news tat have blackout and everything. but i din know was nicholl highway. thought was beach road or smth.

met liyu, xiao jing and ...oopp... wat's her name.. sherlene's fren to rot a while b4 carol come. talked crap at macs until it was time for our buffet. ok steamboat was as our usual. found this suntec place last sem cos we smelled the nice herbal chicken soup and decided to try. the same 4 of us. price quite ok $17. food was alright but without food fight cos sherlene was sick. haha. i'll usually stuff her pot with crab and she will stuff mine with vege tat i hate. found out tat Ly, my biz comm project mate, is working there. then struck me suddenly why her part of the project always late. i guess becos she working loh. she's a vietnamnese. tat time a bit bu shuang becos she's always late but now kinda understand. hai.. thought i shld be more understanding at tat time. hai.. in foreign land still got to work and study at the same time. so poor thing. she said she's been working 1 yr plus already. hai... okok next time mus look beyond wat's on the surface man and try to understand other ppl's difficulties. was ultra ultra full so walked with sherlene and carol to esplanade there and we sat there for a while. talked a bit but think carol not feeling well so went back already loh. saw a banquet being held on cavannagh bridge. very nice ambience and all. there are jus people who are so rich tat they can eat on a bridge. very special.

came home and saw on news it was nicholl highway. tat day my mum was commenting i love to drive using this road to my granny's. told her like the feeling of being on nicholl highway becos brings back memories of mama driving us. hai.. now my fav road to granny's in eunos is gone. sad man. luckily no cars on the road at tat time. suddenly lost faith in those construction going on ard.. there is always so much construction going on. was looking out of my window.. extension to high court building... new national lib at bras basah building.. like there's so much construction going on and we dun know wat underneath the ground tat we stepped on. scary man. life's so fragile struck me again...

wednesday
helped mama and went to siu teck siang theon to sell yi siang (paper boxes with paper clothes to burn for the deceased). haven helped mama for quite some time already plus wanna see my granny cos she's at my 4th aunt's place at toa payoh so woke up damn early. witnessed a confucian ceremony.. quite interesting which my papa is involved. it's like very traditional paying respects to the elderly. it's for post qing ming lah. also dun quite know but quite interesting jus to watch. actually though confucianism was very profound. love the part abt respecting elders and zhi jia, zhi guo, ping tian xia (govern family then country then own the world, sorry if my translation is lousy). onli thing i dun like tat it's a very patriarchal society i mean a confucian society. being a feminist i believe everybody shld be treated equally and share the same rights. was a damn hot day and not much business... so talked to some familiar uncles. one uncle used to work in my mama's shop when we were young and my sis and me will run ard the shop playing. he still rems me. haha but said i need jogging. sad man. he's getting married soon to a chinese girl from si chuan. interesting. hai. asked my aunt why he quit. aunt replied cos mama and papa in declining trade. agree with her. hai.. sometimes think how long can my mum manage the business man. she's getting on her years already and my papa is semi-retired. playing golf and tai ji as and when he likes. think my papa still have the skill tat others in the market dun have lah. which is drawing the traditional kinda lanterns. very nice i have to say. hai.. papa gave up his youth to help my grandpa. he had the chance to go nanyang academy of fine arts one. but had to stop cos the shop needs him. but he still draws very very nice. and his calligraphy too. hai... mama always complaining tat my chinese handwriting sux when both my parents write very nice calligraphy. quite sad rit? well i tried... i know how to use the mao pi and i onli know the dian and the heng. dot and straight line. papa no time to teach me also. so hai.. chinese culture is so impt man. guess i'm still a very traditional kinda person. i really appreciate tat i can speak chinese quite well and know some customs although i'm still confused on wat to call unfamiliar uncles and aunties. hai.. dunnoe wat's the government doing.. changing their policy again and again on mother tongues. everybody shld know their roots well no matter it's for academic purposes or for economical purposes. hai.. disillusioned. ok i mus read more chinese books or at least try to read chinese newspaper to upkeep my newspaper man. heee... a tree without roots is jus like a hollow tree...

went to work after helping mama. worked with raymond, my cheong fries buddy. he was updating me on wat happened in the store etc. hai... so much can happen within the month i'm gone man.. the environment is jus so dynamic. hai.. dunnoe whether the changes are for the better or worse. some rather shocking news but well i'm jus a part-time manager and i dun feel tat i can change anything or concerns me much. some clashes of crew.. hua wei (the shuai shuai crew) jus promoted to crew leader clashed with one of the aunties today. hai.. got to play mediator and consellor. jus like shuang shuang said we are full-time counsellors too man.. if not nannies.. talked to hua wei on the phone for like half an hour before going to zzz.. he's quite a nice person to talk and hopefully he can change his attitude and adopt my advice. had supper with raymond and shuang shuang after work. long time never eat supper with them already. nice feeling and we were talking. jus surprised tat people their age ( mid - late twenties) still very traditional in thinking. hahaha... nice feeling to be hanging with them again. din get much zzz cos slept ard 4.30.am then next day got to buy train tix with sophy.

Thursday
got my typhiod jab finally after like numerous reminders from hui ni (my other colleague). it's required for work in mac cs it conerns food-handling. quite ok lah. not very suan after as in dun feel very strained. din bring enough money to the clinic and they dun accept cards but the nurses very nice. asked me to ask mum to pay later loh. haha.. love my family doctor dr goh and his nurses so frenly. more like frens then doc and nurses.

met sophy to go JB buy train tix back to singapore. hai communication breakdown cos i brought less money needed to buy the tix cos i thought sophy meant the price in RM. hai.. quite an experience to calculate bit by bit whether we have enough. in the end we bought 15 tix by cash and 4 by sophy's credit card which she never used b4 to sign. haha.. ok still got lunch money. ate at city square teppanyaki. then had bubble tea for dessert hahha.. jus had the craving then came back already. on the way updated sophy on life during exams etc.. nice feeling always to hang with my double s buddy.

went to work. kinda tired cos lack of zzz. but well work is still ok.. very glad tat raymond gave me chance to run shift (more of people, equipment and product) instead of service (money). so i take on a more hollistic view of wat's going on and run a smooth shift. although true i still very much act like a service manager, cos i dunnoe much abt equipment and some equipment cocked up during my shift and always had to call raymond for help. know more abt store and people's issues. went to supper again.. with shuang, ray, allan (ray's brother crew leader in our store too) and hua wei at newton. never ate supper at newton b4. but was not bad.. there was this bbq crab which was quite salty but still very nice cos it brought out the sweetness of the crab meat. courtesy of hua wei. was damn full then home to zzz... tired slept at 4am again... lack of sleep. look at my panda eyes.

Friday
was more happening cos dun need to work. heee.. it was the day i dedicated to my darlings, zhuzhu and sophy. we went to east coast park first to settle bikes for night cycling and big splash to ask abt race thingy. then went to *** ****** and got another idea for race.. ahhahha.. the participants are going to die man.. seriously... the thing is very nice.. and heart warming.. makes us sleepy on a rainy day. after tat zhuzhu had an early dinner and sophy and i had dessert cos she was going to sing for an audition at mediacorp.. hee.

brought zhuzhu to caldecot hill for a 933 singing competition. she was still havign doubts but sophy and i pushed for it.. so we went.. by the directions of sophy's gong gong reached the bus stop.. but we took the long way which we realised later when we reached. anyway the longer route we did more silly stuff lah and also if we took the shorter route reached too early to rot. on the way saw xiang si dou (the red red heart-shaped seeds). zhuzhu wans so her 2 bodyguards picked for her so tat the superstar will be untainted or sweat then dirty. got mossie bites there but well since our star wans it bobian. hahah.. anyway then we climbed the hill. wah lau will thin one loh.. the hill ok lah but the houses there huh.. entrance very steep. rich people house man.. mus got car to drive up. then one stretch reaching the reception got a lot of flies (or some insect). sophy was talking and the flies keep harassing her in a result think she ate some of them oopps.. no she's not a lizard.. and zhuzhu and i were laughing like hell with our mouths covered.. we waited for quite a while cos time not yet. then chose song for zhuzhu to sing and met zhuzhu's irritating fren from voices.. luckily he went in a little while after zhuzhu otherwise sophy and i dun like entertaining him. waited to zhuzhu to come out... quite late ard 10pm already... we then we went thomson rd to eat prata.. quite nice and the mutton soup though a bit spicy but very nice.. took long bus ride home with zhuzhu.. talked to her quite a bit too.. feel xin fu when with them... comfy, crazy and silly... tried to update my blog but attempt failed too tired.. haha i.e. the last entry

Saturday
was late for work for the second time in my life. and i off my hp shit.. must be the result of my late nights.. there was a large order in the morning luckily hui ni handled it quite well. whew... work as usual but a bit of blunder here and there. miscommunication and no sales.. though the large order at abt 11pm was quite luan but generally jus like any other day. haha.. shuang shuang taking over my cash so pretty ok.. hahaha.. 4 female managers working so hahha.. after handover was done. we gossiped a little. and the sundae machine keep giving us heart attack with problems.. haha.. but well being the "junior" part time floor managers. we let the "senior" (we call them assistant) managers to handle tat while shuang shuang and i were munching away on a ice cream tat the crew showed huini and xiao ping tat cannot be served.. hahah we still u one mouth i one mouth while huini and xiao ping were trouble-shooting. was telling shuang shuang we very mean haha but well we can't do anything anyway. hahha.. oopps... left macs pretty early by my standards for dinner with granny.

brought granny to maxwell market to eat cos she came down from toa payoh. good food as usual but found this ultra nice yam cake from this caroot cake store.. the plain yam cake with the tian jiang (sweet sauce) and chilli very nice and smooth already. mus eat it again next time. =)

then mama and chun went home while granny my 4th aunt and me picked up the lorry to go east coast to transport the bikes for our race night cycling reccee...alvin, sophy and fang ting late...naughty boy and girls.. anyway i loaded the bikes with the bike uncle's kar kias.. so was ok.. then went to NUS first w/o waiting for vin vin cos my aunt needs the lorry at abt 9pm plus.. and she was late in handing over the lorry.. luckily the other uncle din scold her.

night cycling. teamed up with sophy. double s team again. but die-d muscle cramped and sophy sick. but she was still pretty fast. sorry girl i slowed us down. but think the cycling part race participants will die man route long maybe we took the longer routes... but sophy showed me some shortcuts. but once again like any other night cycling very interesting to see the sights of the night. supper spots and ulu-nated spots. ended up with painful butt and tight thigh muscles.. think i'm really not fit man.. reached home ard 7.30am luckily uncle adrian, yee-ky and i took taxi home.. otherwise dunnoe wat time reach.

Sunday
nua-d home whole day watching my taped xun qin ji plus all in.. woke up with a headache. so met zhuzhu and carol late to buy ah zong's pressie. bought a book for him and a bookmark after buying our stuff for stong too. reached party late and saw many familiar faces. amazingly ah zong share same sec sch and JC as me and i onli know him personally in NUS. ok i know his name through carol who was in guides and him in scouts. nice to see long-time-no see ppl like dehong, kaiwei, ruijie etc. ah cang also. haha he gave me a pin-on button with my name on it from KL.. and the button is hot pink so nice. i'm going to put it on my backpack. bday parties man this year going to have so many like gatherings like tat. haha.. think if too many we'll start to be ma mu already. but haven decide wat to do for my bday yet.. feel like escaping overseas cos i know sophy wun let me off.. hahaha.. oopps bad things do too much.

sorry for long long entry cos so long never blogged. thanx for reading til the end and now i have to go bathe and zzz. tmr going to stong. yeah first trekking trip with sophy other than last year panti comm trip. anyway some dates to take note tat i'm not in singapore. i have auto-roam anthing impt can still call me. otherwise dun waste ur phone bill and i.. hee.. btw changed my mobile service plan mine incoming free 7am to 7pm. =) so call me when i'm in singapore.
