Mugging week
yeah it's mugging week and let me summarize my days.
Monday - studied at YMCA, kids too noisy and renovation works so came home, zzz, watch tv (Westside Story, xi jie shao nian, last episode), study again... all my fav shows are gone...
Tusday - studied at Liang Court Starbucks and had a surprise guest Siang Yin who came to pei me and forbid me to go home to nap in the afternoon. Gossiped a bit heee... came home, watch tv, send john e-mail abt wat module he's taking next sem.
Wednesday - Went to pay deposit for China's trip air tix and accomodation, afternoon nap, shopped for yun shuang's pressie with loomie then went for yunshuang's bday chalet at SAF chalet in Changi, din study much except to finish a chapter on Working Capital Management. Super nua better work harder today!!... exams start on saturday.
Was feeling kinda sad and down these days. dun wanna elaborate... but i do enjoy the "break" off to study. love finance and you would find that i can cover 4 chapters of finance in a day when sometimes i can't even finish one for OM. Guess it's interest.. ok i shan't practise discrimnation on my modules which is effectively only 3 minus biz communication.
Well was feeling more cheered up when i went to attend yun shuang's bday. the usual onine gang, meiting (boss), loom, martz, kweky (chin yong), lenny (leonard), snoop (justin), yida. jus so easy and nice to hang out with my JC class.
rem the times when we will jus sit in canteen and sometimes sit in the cardboard along the side of the canteen and also sit along the lo kang. my class is jus some super acheiver, almost like a sports class, with many captains of the various school teams in the class. i rem there was once there is this sportsmen appreciation ceremony that all the sportsmens could go and eat basically a buffet lah and get excused from lessons. in the end, my class lessons were cancelled cos too few kittens in class already. hee.. then cos we are so fit and healthy, we'll get $200 hagen diaz voucher from the pe apartment cos the whole class passed the fitness test for 2 years consecutive. not bad rit? the girls will run to bedok jetty from school after PE lessons which is crazy bcos it's a 5 km run to and fro. but the breeze is jus so nice at bedok jetty. oh ya on top of tat, my class is the best of our combination. heee... and of cos pet of many of our tutors, other than our form tutor which we utterly hate. oh ya one of the TU projects for our class is tat we were supposed to gather after 5 years we graduate. we set date on 1st may 2006. so exciting rit? hoping to see gundy. hope tat he will fly back but seems like he's carrying on to his masters in michigan. hai.. we'll see.. hee..
back to wednesday, loom and i bought this very nice flower pendant for shuang at poh heng. well poh heng may be seen as old and everything but actually their designs are quite nice and i personally like poh heng very much and the staff very frenly.then met the rest and took a 40 min ride to the SAF chalets at changi. think becos it rained so not many people reached there early. so we had to wait for people to come b4 starting on the buffet. so we went upstairs to a room and listen to meiting talk abt her "very exciting" story tat happened during her bf's comms ball at ritz carlton with all the "and thens", "but tat's not the point". with all the suan-ing abt her stroytelling skills. basically the story is abt this instructor's gf who was so crazy after quarelling with her bf that she swallowed a cigarette butt and stripped and swam across from the marina promenade to marina bay. and the whole story took 25 mins for her to tell. haha.. she's jus so.... animated, bouncy... so fun to hang out with cos we were all laughing at her. oopps.. anyway after the buffet, cutting off bday cake... and yes shuang's party is really big.. think she invited her whole NTU hall people. generally quite a successful party i guess, so made my way home with meiting and kweky.
could have taken no 2 home all the way from changi v but wanted to pei meiting so changed to mrt halfway. think kweky nicer to me now. at least he look me in the eye when he's talking to me. he used to be so mean.. always against the TU.. always against me with his razor sharp tongue. thought he was always cute esp after he changed to contacts. hey but his cute not the usual kind of cute i mean. i mean he has very nice eyes.. chubby cheeks. he basically doesn't have the "cute" personality but he's cute ya. ok talking rubbish if u dun understand me it's ok.
ya was talking to meiting on the train. hee.. missed those times when she would lie on my shoulder. no she's not one of my darlings. but can u imagine a 1.77m girl.. like giraffe lying on my shoulder? haha.. anyway think meiting is one of the people that i really appreciated her coming into my life. national triple jump champion in her nanyang days then retired for a while cos torn her ligament. but back in action always for TJ's track and field team in nationals. top student in our class. 7 distinctions for As.. merit for her physics s paper. class rep for second year. she was going to hwa chong after first 3 months with us. but came back after like 2 days cos she can't bear to leave us. so nice rit? she's such an over-acheiver but remains so simple and bouncy haha... imagine a giraffe always jumping ard. and her ambition was to become a receptionist. hahaha okok she scrapped tat after trying for a month during our free 6 months. now she's in SMU doing accounts. heee... oh ya she was loom's race partner. anyway always love her company... and she's going europe in the hols...hai.. xian mu xian mu.. =)
anyway hee.. almost finished my research on China. read relevant chaps in lonely planet already. so excited. think we'll rent bikes in Suzhou and jus ride the whole day. hee.. suzhou is like venice in the east.. got the grand canal which was used to transport grain in the past. and small small canals... then can take cable car up some hills to see panaroma of the cities. walk along the streets of these cities and jus feeling the energy and bustling activity of China...ok anticipation..
after motivating brunch of laska chicken mee in hong lim complex. think it's time to start work!! anyway ppl JIA YOU!!!! esp to my darlings sophy and zhuzhu... take care ppl...
