we live for the moment...
currently doing a sociology essay on national day rallies for my Singapore Society module. had a opportunity to interview people like vin, ah hong, ah ryl, fu xiang etc. amazing how government in Singapore already intervene in our lives. every single aspect and amazed at the political consciousness of the nonchalent youths today. surprisingly high but we choose to do nothing abt it. sociology is such a subject that they have to find fault with the society today then they have smth to do. it's kinda depressing sometimes to think that our society is so flawed and everything is so mcdonaldised. hee.. tat's a term in sociology meaning that it's efficient, predictable, calculable and used as a control device. as a kind of rationalisation. heee.. okok wish me luck on the paper cos working with sherlene again on this. 3000 words and she has a test on sat. so she'll jus finish a part and i'll do everything else. due tmr 5pm hahhaha.. oopps last min again.
on account of rationalisation, decided not to go Titiwangsa already. yeah like wat sophy says not in actual terms, been there done tat. go at the same time, same things? so shall be rational. promised to be terry's local HQ though. hope they will have a good time. will try my best to help him cos i know it's not easy and sometimes i felt so alone in the planning process of titi.
had coffee/dinner with sophy and zhuzhu yesterday. we had a good time, jus miss her so much. felt her absence when we go on treks, the crazy, silly things we do and the songs we sing. i wan my double s buddy back.. hahaha.. our relationship sounds so suspicious rit? as vin and ck will say. oh no. so we caught up on lotsa stuff, talked abt trekking plans etc and stuff. feel so good to be in familiar territory with no need to entertain and carry on the conversation but jus be natural and spontenious abt everything...
going to panti on sunday. so happy. no not becos i'm going on panti again. come on i jus went there last sun but master EM is going this sun. i'm so happy. haven seen her in a while. last i saw her was 1st sep teachers' day. miss her too. my inspiration. hai.. been feeling that i'm so dependent on Yong Hui sometimes. hai.. feel so useless sometimes. can't stand up on my own. try my best to be the best pressie i can ever be, but feels so xin you yu er li bu zu kinda thing sometimes. but well dun worry, i'm still motivated and driven lah. like wat yew tian says, i'm a slave driver.. hahaha...
project mate episode is over. made peace with her already with the help of Hong Hui. Thank you. but still dun feel very satisfied with her explanation but well wat's over is over. after bitching last time here, will not repeat myself.
met robin in the comm lab. he was telling me abt the HSBC's management programme. it's 2 years and u will get a taste of working in every single department before they put u in one which u are the most efficient in. of cos u'll go through stringent selection. sounds interesting and robin is always so ... ambitious is not the right word. how abt opportuntist in a good way? robin says it's good to go for such interviews and stuff to train up ourselves in interview skills etc. so that we will damn zai next time, although we may screw up the previous few times. so nice of him to like tell me i feel. he's always "educating" the rookie me. quite sad abt the marina mandarin thingy. they never contact me. maybe i wasn't the person they are looking for or maybe i jus dun have the experience. lariane went for the interview already. dun wanna ask her abt it. she went for a Singapore tourism board internship last sem. maybe tat's why. but i thought the bba career office always say that the first time applicants for internship will be considered first. hai. seems like ppl with advantage will win in the end ba. hahaha i'm like can't eat grapes and say grapes sour. well hai.. no internship then let me go to the mountains ba.. =)
