at home today

at home today and u know why.. fell sick. the most horrible feeling on earth. was running a fever yesterday night and surrounded myself with my large cushions, my thick snoopy blanket and my sweater. felt like an eskimo. haha.. but all din seem to be warm enough. it's moments like these tat i wonder whether i could really be independent. called mama when i was waiting for bus at KR terminal. told her i was going home. no bball le. (sorry zhu, siang, des, wen yan) i dunnoe wat plans she had tat time but she immediately said she will go home and cook porridge for me. hai.. wat would i do without my mama? haha still rem once when i was in DHS. mama and papa were abroad then fell sick. had to go to doc goh myself and decided to walk home from there. the walk home was the most horrible that i can rem til today. had to cross 2 overhead bridges under the hot sun on top of the horrible headache i always get from fevers. haha... oh man imagine life abroad or anywhere without my mama and have to take care of myself. tat sucks. hai... cancelled all my day's appt. breakfast with em and vin (sorry), haha... skipped my BORING service marketing make-up class, skipped my work duty. think better rest at home lah tmr and next week still a non-stop race. no mood to do work. haha.. oopps still owe paper work to jasmine. finished watching hikaru no go. hai.. too bad chun dun have the conclusion on the north cup go tournament. haha.. but was really nice. really preferred the young kawaii hikaru when he was young. everybody got ugly when they grow up haha... but it's a really nice anime series abt self discovery and made go (i.e. wei qi) so interesting. hahaha sai is also very cute when he does his excited and kawaii stuns. haha.. quite sad when sai leaves hikaru at first but well hikaru has to learn to be independent (haha like me?). oopps am i spoiling it for anybody?

had my biz pol presentation yesterday. oopps.. got onli one slide to present but dun think i did it very well. haha.. zy as usual saved the day as he took almost all of the questions shot at us. haha.. got this feeling eunice saved her killer question for us. we presented second. but anyway think zy really showed tat we did our homework lah. haha.. felt dizzy on my heels while standing in front for pressie so decided can't go play ball le. hope they all had fun.

attended first chinese film tut. was really good. i mean daisy the tutor was really good and frenly although i had to go back for the later class when i was late for the class for 20 mins. and considering she changed the venue 3 times. she can't blame me rit? haha anyway was glad i went to the later class. although i bet it was a less vigourous discussion from wat sherlene told me. taught me a lot abt Yellow Earth, the world of Suzie Wong, good men and good women and Raise the Red Lantern. Yellow Earth when i first saw i was a bit bewildered. but upon analysing and stuff, it was really quite good. very subtle and hidden meanings. but personally i prefer Raise the Red Latern. was really colourful and i din really thought abt a lot of hidden issues when i first watched it when i was in sec sch or smth. but rewatching it again it makes me think. it is really a good film, try watching it. superb performance from gong li also. central lib have. the fact tat it was banned in china was really proof tat it had relation to bigger issues. hahah some critics even raved that it was the film of the decade. i think we are so used to hollywood style films that we neglected some of these best works. but i mus agree they are usually very very slow. but they are intentionally slow so i wouldn't mind. haha. like the slow penning shots of the landscape in Yellow Earth was like. enough already or not? there can be like 2 mins of jus landscape imagine. ok lah at the end of it, i can't deny that it had its effects on wat it wanted to say. Raise the Red Lantern shall be one of my fav films now. haha.. if one day i'm bored, will jus go rewatch the front part which i missed. oh ya look out for the colours if anyone is really interested.

oh ya abt the fever part, i think partly i think i was prob too hardworking. amazingly sia.. coming from me. i tried to keep my eyes open the previous night reading my consumer behaviour text and the next morning still finished reading my biz pol text and chinese film stuff. hahaha maybe i think this teaches me not to be too hardworking. hahaha.. kidding.

thurs had lunch with cher and her heartsweet and carol. hahaha.. very nice to hang with cher. haven seen her for a while. always love her. hahaha.. sometimes i would be thinking how can guys ard me be so blind? if i were a guy, i would be so totally in love with her. maybe she's jus my type of girl. oops.. now u will be doubting my sexual tendencies. hahaa.. she's jus so nice have ard. oh ya if i'm a guy, there would be so many girls i'll be after but cher would still be in the top 3. had a good Consumer Behavior lesson. Dr tabyah jus makes it so easy to go to her lessons. like wat raymond says, jus talk cock. but she's a good facilitator that she makes u learn from all the contributions from everybody. but yes still stressful like wat hh and zy says. went to queensway with mama and chun after dinner at ikea. chun intending to buy sports shoes, ended up mama buying shoes. haha.. still rem the days when mama can buy 3 pairs of shoes at one go.

wed had dinner with eileen. was very nice catching up with her. supposed to be a tioman ppl gathering left elieen and me but we still decided to go anyway. had fun with her as always. met vin for SOPs. hai.. lotsa work to be done man. yao JIA YOU le. met kenneth and carol for photos. oh man kenneth's europe photos look so good hahah so tempting.. yeah.. europe here we go. meeting up with cang and carol for planning next monday. lala... met yeeky, fang ting and wan seng for lunch. finally met this legendary participant of the year wan seng. hahah i mus say he's very nice and cute first meeting. haha.. asking him to do us a favour. teach us malay. haha.. so we have one chio bu and one cuet guy teaching us so i hope the comm wun fall asleep. haha..

tues met ash to swim swim. oh man she's good but she fell sick after tat. oops think she pushed herself too hard cos she went to climb later. onli swam 30 laps cos pool was getting crowded. at a pt of time, there were 5 ppl swimming at our lane. met lumein for a while. hee.. seeing how she's getting along and stuff. haha.. always feels good to meet up with old frens.

had another presentation for rethinking. hahha. oops.. forgot to intro my group mates. and i think the tutor thought tat our link of our subject i.e. rise of women and globalisation not very strong. hai.. nvm will jus have to do better next time. watched desperate housewives. it is seriosuly good man. dark humour. sex, comedy, action etc. haha.. i think i'm getting hooked already can't wait til next mon. i like teri hatcher. the last time i saw her was when she was playing lois lane. huge diff from her role in desperate housewives. she plays this vulnerable desperate divorcee and truly deserves her golden globe but i mus say she really has aged. haha.. but well some ppl thinks mature women actually exudes more charm. haha.. oh no.. i actually forgot yang wei's bday. hai... not going to make any excuses for myself.. ahh.. feel bad man....

sunday went to sungei buloh. first time i tagged along a tour with edie (siang's and my "attached" buddy). edie's a very nice middle aged man.. and he knows darn a lot abt plants. think my interest is still in birds, cos they are truly beautiful. haha.. took lotsa notes and pics. going to enrich my knowledge abt all these too man. haha.. esp the plants so many species so many genuses (did i spell tat correctly?). saw lotsa spiders. haha.. esp there's this very nice red one which siew chin (my partner on this tour who happens to be em's tahanner mate. small world rit?) thinks it should be a st andrews', although it doesn't have the distinct white zig zag white stuff. haha.. we donated a lot of blood jus to take a pic of it man. haha sent it to chee kong after tat and asked him abt it. haha.. he said it might be a st andrew's too. hahhaa interesting. yujie also asked her spidie prof. hahaha. so nice rit? to share knowledge and stuff abt nature. i think another thing tat odac taught me. and yes let me thank chee kong again for his gift i.e.book on birds. the 2 mangroves books dun happen to have birds so it was really a good supplement.

hai.. overcommited myself le. totally neglected biz ad enhancement which was community service to check up on the elderly living near chinatown. feel bad lah. wasn't part of the project. onli compiled the report and apparently did a bad job on it cos i never went down to visit them once. oopps.. since laraine (leader of the project) dun wan any apologies after blasting everyone, i would jus have to let it go loh. hahah.. okok complained a little to sherlene. thanx for listening girl. like wat i told her, if i were much more involved i would do things differently from laraine lah. jus dun feel pushed enough by laraine.

sat went back to sch for biz pol make-up. oh man wat's with the 5 day week man?? hahah wat's a hol when u'll have to go back for make up another day? but well spent the whole day in sch 9am to 5pm to do up our grp assignment plus make up lesons of cos. exhausted.. oh man i can't hold a ninetofive job. hahha... had dinner with granny, first aunt, first uncle, 4th aunt, mama and papa at toa payoh near 4th aunt's place. haha was a good dinner. 4th aunt is currently on her project to do more ang bao lanterns which look really good. haha CNY is coming.. so looking forward to it. the goodies, ang baos!!! hahaha.. seems not so long ago that we were visiting ck's, zhu's, siang's, eileen's, martin's, qingyi's places... hahha.. and it is almost one year already haha..

anyway woah... recapped on a whole week already. time to get some rest b4 watching my fair princess 3 on 8. oopps my guilty indulgence. although it's damn long winded, but i still love the costumes, the pretty ladies (esp xiao yanzi. chun likes ziwei.), the petty arguements. hahaha.. i mus say this 3rd series is really more open. haha.. they have kissing scenes so often.. haha.. in ancient china. imagine.. hahaha.. okok zzz. already. feeling very gong gong now. is it the medicine or is it jus me?
