Phantom of Opera

"... the mystery never fully explained..."

watch phantom of opera with my mama to cheer her up amist the holy war waging at home. went shopping b4 tat. hahaha retail therapy is seriously smth tat really works for my mama. let's see, at the end of one and half hour, i was carrying one laura ashley bag, 3 isetan bags.

anyway phantom. yes... finally got to watch it. was thinking i was really fated not to watch it cos qingyi who was supposed to watch with me can't make it in the end. but well dragged my mama along. every single song in the musical was inside. lasted 2 1/2 hours. understandable cos the musical abt tat long too. heee.. my first musical experience at kallang theatre years back. the movie helped me relive tat. but the musical move to movie some parts a bit kuang zhang esp the "who wrote the letter?". haha...well sarah brightman is still my favourite christine although she does a horrible harem. i mean she grew up singing tons of christine and the phantom michael smth in my gold plated phantom cd would have done better too. sadly the christine could also have been much prettier, although she looks darn familiar. the raoul was alright. pretty boy dun like the long hair though. hahaha like rebonded then curled at the ends. sets were fantastic. i think the cinematography was damn fantastic lah. i think it was hard to turn it into a movie. haha.. well one thing abt movie can focus where u wan audience to see. musical slightly harder. "tat's all i ask of u" part very romantic too. wah.. their kissing really timing jus right. haha.. i simply love the masquerade part. haha my fav song of the cd at first but still loved it visually the best too. colourful, grand, shiny, gold, jus how a musical shld be. very glad to have caught it. phantom remains my fav musical. sets the standard for wat musicals shld be in my mind. andrew lloyd webber's best work.
