half-blinded for a day

had left eye lasik on monday. rejected the muscle relaxant. haha.. think i was pretty calm but i guess on the operation table was a little scared lah. wah lau the 3 white light damn bright lah... quite cool to be looking at wat the doc is doing actually. the laser was the red light. dunno wat the green light was. but could smell the laser. hai.. generally went well. although doc says more bleeding than expected, so she postponed the surgery for my right eye to next week so that left eye would heal first. hai.. oh man so many deadlines everywhere better start on watever i have to do man. actually could see pretty well after the surgery immediately. but the near vision is totally gone lah. eyesight a bit imbalance cos left can see far and right can onli see near. she gave me 2 antibiotics eye drops and a rewetting drops. zzz the whole day away but hai got to wake up every hour to put rewetting drops and 2 hourly to put the antibiotics drops. din zzz very well overall. but had no trouble zzz at night. oh man think i repaid all my zzz debts. they also gave me a goggle to wear to prevent me from rubbing my eye accidentally. quite cute. i look like a panda with white circles. haha... well went back for check-up today. waited for doc for 45 mins. oh man if they know how long they are going to be can ask us to come later man. anyway the girl who did her lasik b4 me yesterday had a swollen eye today. scary think she's allergic to the drops or smth lah. man ke lian de. anyway saw dr lim (she's lim li. such a coincidence rit? same name as ah li) haha.. anyway she said the cornea flap healed quite well beneath the bandage lens (so cool)tat she put inside. in fact she can't see the cut. she gave me 2 lens for my right eye. haha.. felt much better. not half-blinded. but well the degree not exactly lah but luckily quite comfy. got to go back tmr again. argghh to take out the bandage lens. and actually she told me my vision is actually over corrected. tat's why i can't see near. hai.. but well my eye will take 3 weeks to recorrect itself to zero. so i guess it's better to over correct then to under correct. smart doc. anyway she was quite reassuring lah. but a bit worried abt the 3 days i'm going to do without my right eye contact lens. work how?? arrggh... hai.. okok it's my fault for wearing contact lens for too long that blood vessels have been growing into my cornea. so lesson for everybody huh? heee.. ok no i'm not a vain pot. haha.. mama convinced me to go for it one k? she says money same as changing specs and contacts in the long run lah. might as well spare all the hassle and spend it all at one go. =)

grand mama came down and see me for today. hee. she was at toa payoh my 4th aunt's place. but well she came and accompany me for one day at home. though i still slept my afternoon away. heee... give her smth to do lah. otherwise she'll still be alone at 4th aunt's place. hee... mama cooked a feast for grandmama, 4th aunt and me for dinner. hee. i mus really say mama improved her cooking lah. haha.. grandmama and i jus do the prawns, washed the vege etc etc. hee... sidekick but she was still the star. really appreciate also that mama broiled chrysathym (oops dunno how to spell) and gou qi. haha.. supposedly good for the eye. hee.. i got drink ok? anyway din realise it was for me until grandmama said it wasn't liang ("cool"), then i asked then wat it was for. hee.. oopps. okok mama's indispensible again. heee.. thanx mama. think she took 2 mornings off to accompany me to the hospital already and tried to finish her work after dinner today. hai.. wat would i do without my mama? heee.. "forced" yang yang also to finish my assignment. i say while she type then upload. haha...

hai.. kinda disappointed cos thought somebody would remember. hai.. but well nvm next time dun have too high expectations lah. i dun have confidence too. still.. nvm...

anyway okok yes yes realised how impt our eye sight is. i can be handicapped or watsoever so dun let me lose my eye sight. anyway interesting case on newspaper. abt the american congress debating to keep this woman who's already brain dead alive. husband wanted to pull the feeding tube off cos there's no chance of recovery but the parents wanted to keep her alive. bring to us another case of euthansia(oops is it how it's supposed to be spelt). let me think of the ah pek in chinatown. wonder how he is already. hai... scary to be old. dun let me become old so fast. help!!i'm still twenty one. lala..

watched LOTR and desperate housewives yesterday yes.. with one eye.. hee... doc never say cannot watch tv. but ya the com screen was rather glaring.. desperate housewives getting more and more interesting. smth struck me when gabrielle was talking to the priest. "i jus wan to be happy." when the priest asked her why she had an affair. i guess tat's wat everybody wans at the end of the day. the priest answered, "that's the answer of a selfish child". haha how true. and quite horrible that bree's son who knocked down wanita (gabrielle's mother-in-law) is not feeling remorseful. hai... lynette breaking down cos of her sons. i guess that's one example of the supermom syndrome when they can't cope. they think they are the only ones who can't cope and thus afraid to seek help. i'm glad she din have the idea to kill her sons and then commit suicide. these few days these cases are so common when people can't deal with their problems. and susan actually reminds me of ally mc beal. but well happy that finally mike and her get it on. haha... =)

anyway i think better dun stare at computer screen for too long... do work! then zzz. haha.. okok.. tata. and yeah found someone to watch the pooh movie with me! thanx sherlene!! haha..
