Valentine's

somebody asked me before, why are we celebrating some saint's death anniversary? and really we are indeed celebrating st valentine's death anniversary. haha i guess it's all the shrewd businessmen's commercial efforts to make us think tat this day is really special for the lovers.

this year's valentine i guess is different. well previous few valentine's i dun feel tat there's anything wrong. i still had good frens and good company doing smth meaningful every year. maybe it's jus yesterday tat i realise ya there are really so many couples walking ard, with a bouquet in their hands on this day.

some memorable valentines' days tat i'll always remember on this very day

1) selling flowers with sophy. our 1st biz venture. made a handful of other ppl's day more meaningful helping us sell flowers too. was esp surprised to get weilun's thank you email after tat day. made a tiny weeny bit of money which was used to buy all helpers a meal. felt real good!

2) the same year we baked cookies for all our frens. although yang, sophy and me ended with sore throats after all the overnight baking, cos we ate much of those tat we QC-ed away. and some frens even kept the cookies (though long expired) til today. glad tat we brought some warmth to some frens tat day.

3) BB tat day was saying the valentine's day one JC year. we went to tampines to drink bubble tea and had lots of fun tat day too. hai.. those carefree JC days...

haha... well worked late on v day. wanted to help out til late but ray chased me away. and yes there were more ppl coming in after 8pm... yes bfs bringing gfs in. glad tat beanie understands. he was on standby. oops. we had late dinner at bedok 85. not ur exact glam vday dinner but really shiok. jus binged. minced meat noodles, fried prawn mee, satay, po pian, ah balling. haha stayed off the sugarcane and stingray otherwise the combo would have been complete ahhh.. all becos of the allergic cough which is killing me these days. the mac customers who see me coughing like i'm going to cough out my lungs must have a lot of doubts abt our hygiene becos of me. oops.

then went home. jus a simple affair but still feels very nice. got a bouquet of pinks roses and a teddy called vannie and a cartoon tat beanie drew. haha the cartoon was a little ruo ma but nonetheless really sweet.

watched walk the line last sat with cang and carol.
made me have second thoughts abt extramaritial affairs. well johnny cash was madly in love with june since young but he had a wife when he pursued june. is it wrong to go after someone u really love when u are already bound? maybe he jus married his wife cos of the war. or he could no longer connect with his wife cos he was in "the other world" of performing and becoming a star? i pity the wife vivian lah. although ya happy ending. and i think the real late johnny cash really loved late june carter til the end. the singing by joaquin phoenix and resee witherspoon is really good. i love her southern twang. and the young elvis quite funny too. catch it pls. although a bit slow in the front. but the singing saves the day.

next up brokeback mountain!!!
